Thiruchendur Murugan Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Muruga and one of the Aarupadai Veedu (six major abodes) of Lord Muruga. It is located in the small town of Thiruchendur in the district of Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, India. This temple is the fourth Hindu temple in Tamil Nadu to get ISO certification. Thiruchendur is said to be second in importance among his six abodes. |

Lord Murugan is the deity of the Tamil Land. Palani (Tiru Avinankudi) is the third Padai Veedu. The temple at Palani is an ancient one, situated at an elevation of 1500 feet above sea level. It is a charming campus from where one can take a look at the Idumban Hill, the Kodaikanal Hills, the Western Ghats, the greenery of the paddy fields, rivers, tanks, Palani town and the colleges. |

Thirupparankundram Temple is a rock-cut temple of Lord Subramanya, situated at a distance of 8 km from Madurai.This temple was built by Pandayan King in the 8th century. The innermost shrine is cut out of a solid rock. Apart from Lord Subramanya, there are also separate shrines for Lord Shiva, Lord Vinayaka, Goddess Durga, Lord Vishnu and other deities.This temple is not only worshipped by Hindus, but also by the Muslims. |

Pazhamudircholai is a Hindu temple, located about 16 kilometres north of Madurai, India atop a hill covered with dense forests. One of the six important abodes (Aarupadai Veedu) of Lord Muruga, it is close to the Vishnu temple of Azhagar Kovil. Among the Aarupadai Veedu, Pazhamudircholai is the last. This Lord Murugan at Pazhamudircholai is praised in old Tamil literature such as Silappathikaram, Ettuthokai and Pattupattu.it was earlier known as Solai malai. |

Swami malai Murugan Temple is a Hindu temple located in Swamimalai, 5 km from Kumbakonam on the banks of a tributary of river Cauvery, 250 km from Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, India. The temple has three gopuram (gateway towers), three precincts and sixty steps and each one is named after the sixty Tamil years. In Tamil language, such an artificial hill is called “Kattu Malai”. Another name for this place is “Thiruveragam”. |
