TIRUPATI
Tirupati is a major pilgrimage and cultural city in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. It is the largest city in the Rayalaseema region and also the third largest growing city of the Indian state Andhra Pradeshnext to Vizag and Vijayawada. It is located at the foothills of the Eastern Ghats, 65 kilometres (40 mi) from Chittoor, 150 kilometres (93 mi) fromChennai, 250 kilometres (160 mi) from Bangalore and 550 kilometres (340 mi) from Hyderabad.
LAKNAVARAM LAKE
Located around 90 kilometers from Warangal city, the water body is spread across 10,000 acres and is a classic example of a place where one can view civilization that had settled in the area hundreds of years ago. According to PJ Naidu, a senior archaeologist, the lake was constructed by digging over several decades by the then rulers. The lake has since then helped agriculture all round the year in the region. The lake has 13 islands surrounded with lush green forests and mountains.
NAGARJUNA SAGAR DAM
Nagarjuna Sagar Dam, located on the borders of Guntur and Nalgonda districts is among the earliest structures built by the government leading to the Green Revolution in the country. The hotels lined around the lake and the dam provide a calm, composed and a serene view. The excavation site, inspired by the Roman era and a museum built on the island with relics of Buddha draw history lovers from all over.
WARANGAL FORT
Located in the Warangal district, the fort has beautifully-carved arches, pillars spread over a radius of over eight kilometres. The fort was the seat of power for the Kakatiyaempire, which brought the Telugu-speaking people form the region under one roof. The Thousand Pillar temple built in the 11th century is another major attraction among the devotees for its architeture.
GOLKONDA FORT
Located in the capital city of Hyderabad, the fort was first built of mud by Kakatiya rulers during the 13th century. However, it gained glory under the QutubShahi dynasty. The world renowned Kohinoor diamond was found here. An added attraction here are the enchanting sound & light show in the evenings. One of the most interesting features of the Golconda Fort is its system of acoustics. The sounds of hands clapped at the entry gate can be heard clearly at 'BalaHissar'.
ARAKU VALLEY
Araku hill station is among the most important tourist destinations in Andhra Pradesh. TIRUMALA VENKATESWARA TEMPLE
Tirumala Venkateswara Temple is a famous Vedic temple in the hill town of Tirumala, near Tirupati in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. It is around 600 km from Hyderabad, 138 km from Chennai and 291 km from Bangalore. The temple is the richest pilgrimage centre, after the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, of any faith and the most-visited place of worship in the world
SRI ANANTHA PADMANABHA SWAMY TEMPLE
Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple is a Hindu temple located in Ananthagiri, Ranga Reddy district Vikarabad in Andhra Pradesh, India. It is temple of Lord Vishnu.The Head priest of this temple is Sri Nalapur Sitaram Chary. According to Skanda Purana it is believed the temple is installed by the Rishi Markandeya in Dwapara Yuga. Attracted by peaceful atmosphere of Ananthagiri hills Markandeya Rishi came here for yoga sadhana. Sri Anantha Padmanaba Swamy also gave darshana to markandeya and converted into a charka to swamy.
KAPILA THEERTHAM
The Holy Temple of Kapila Theertham is the only temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in over a 50 mile radius of the holy temple cities ofTirupati and Tirumala that abound with temples of the Vaishnavait Deity Vishnu. This huge temple stands at the entrance to a mountain cave in one of the steep and vertical faces at the foot of the amazing hills of Tirumala, where the waters of the mountain stream Paapa Vinasanam fall as a huge waterfall. A huge stone statue of a seated bull "Nandhi", Lord's Shiva's steed, greets devotees and passersby at the entrance to the temple.
GOVINDARAJA PERUMAL TEMPLE
This temple is dedicated to the brother of the lord of seven hills, who is seen sleeping (reclining position) with the measure for gauging the money, beneath his head as a cushion, out of tiredness of counting the huge volumes of wealth that he has received loan from Kubera, for performing his brother's marriage. The temple is located at the foot hills of Tirumala. One interesting fact about the temple is that the celestial bath (Abhishekam) is not conducted with the presiding deity, as the deity, in the lying position, is made of clay.
VENKATESWARA SWAMY
Lord venkateswara Swamy vari Temple in Jamalapuram is very famous temple in Khammam district and A.P., Here Lord Venkateswara as "Swayam Bhoo". There are Sri Padmavathi Amma vari Temple, Sri Alivelu Amma vari Temple, Sivalayam, Ganesh Temple, Anjaneya Swamy temple and Ayyappa Swmay Temple also here. ISKCON TEMPLE
The beautiful ISKCON Temple is located at Somuladoddi. The vibrant pink-coloured temple is amazing. It is constructed in the shape of a chariot and was inaugurated in 2008 by the then governor of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N.D. Tiwari. This spiritual centre is the second biggest ISKCON Temple after the one in Bengaluru, in Karnataka. The well-landscaped gardens and the serene ambience are a major attraction for the devotees.
VAIDYANATH TEMPLE
Vaidyanath Temple, also called Vaijnath Temple and Baidyanth Temple is located at Deogarh in the Santal Parganas region of Bihar in the south west of Keeul Station. Baidyanath shrine is revered as one of the twelve Jyotirlingams of Shiva. It may be noted that some schools of thought believe Vaidyanath near Parali in Andhra Pradesh to be the Vaidyanatha Jyotirlingam.Devotees of Lord Shiva believe that by sincere worship of Vaijnath Jyotirlinga a person is relieved of all worries and miseries in life.
TALAKONA
The Talakona waterfall is in Sri Venkateswara National Park, Chittoor District of Andhra pradesh in India. With a 270 feet (82 m)-fall, Talakona is the highest waterfall in the Andhra pradesh state. Talakona is also known for the Lord Siddheswara Swamy Temple, which is located close to the waterfall. Talakona is located in Nerabailu village in Yerravaripalem Mandal of Chittoor District.Talakona is a resort with waterfalls, dense forests and wildlife. The area was declared a biosphere reserve in 1989 due to the presence of rich variety of flora and fauna.
DEER PARK
Mrugavani National Park is a national park located in Hyderabad, India. It is situated at Chilkur in Moinabad mandal, 20 km from MGBS and covers an area of 3.5 square miles (9.1 km2) or about 700 acres. It is home to a 600 different types of plant life. SRI VENUGOPALA SWAMY TEMPLE
The Sri Venugopala Swamy Temple at Nemali is a temple dedicated to Krishna. Lord Krishna's statue is supposed to have been found during a plough of a farm land in the village. An inscription to this effect is placed on the wall in the temple premises. The deities include Krishna as Venugopal (Venu-Flute in hand, in a standing posture), Alvar saints, Godha devi in alwar style. The temple houses a large complex including Yaga sala, and a beautiful mirror room exhibiting Lord Krishna in pavalimpu seva.
SRI BEDI ANJANEYASWAMI TEMPLE
"Sri Bedi Anjaneyaswami Temple is located on Sannidhi Street, opposite the main temple. In the Vaishnavite tradition, it is customary to have either Garuda or Anjaneya opposite the main temple. The idol of Sri Anjaneya is shown with its hands folded in supplication (the Anjali pose). Sri Anjenaya is a devotee of Sri Rama, just as Garuda is of Sri Maha Vishnu. Abhishekam is performed every Sunday and special offerings are made on Hanuman Jayanti."
